ACTIVATION MANAGER (MERCHANDISING MANAGER)
Job outline:
- The purpose of the Activation Manager (Merchandising Manager) is to ensure effective and efficient work of the Activation Team (Merchandising Team) within designated channels and as per company policies and procedures in order to achieve superior availability and visibility of the brands in portfolio, hence secure take off from the shops.
- Ensure execution of merchandising standards in all relevant trade channels and branding as per guidelines and determined strategies.
- Ensure that merchandise is developed and used in the most cost effective and efficient way in order to optimize investments and ensure ROl.
Responsible for:
- Channel Activation Assistant, Activation Coordinators, Market Activators and Relievers, Handyman and Labourers.
Main job responsibilities:
- Responsible to organize the team to cover the market in cost effective and efficient way while delivering against their responsibilities. This includes optimized routing, as well specification of duties and tasks.
- Supervise the team in order to ensure full, timely and efficient execution of agreed counter performances with customers, including agreed portfolio listed, shelving, secondary and cooler placement, planograms and branding.
- Organize and supervise activations of all consumer promotions as per provided guidelines and in timely manner.
- Propose optimizations in development and production of “hard” merchandising materials in cooperation with Brand Managers.
- Responsible to control stock of all merchandising materials, ensure that all relevant procedures are in place.
- Supervise the team in order to regularly track and report in market situation of implemented “hard” merchandising equipment (coolers, displays, racks, signage, etc) within designated channels.
- Ensure that team is, at all times, acting in line with company policies and procedures, representing GSD in front of the customers and shoppers in professional way. Train and coach the team in all areas which are relevant for their responsibilities, but particularly related to merchandising standards.
- Responsible to determine and propose to management optimization in the work of the team, whether related to automatization, optimization of processes and work flow or any other area.
- Responsible to ensure that all tracking of data and KPIs, as per company policies and procedures, is done timely and in correct way.
Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of merchandising standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, manage and drive results within team.
- Possess a structured and organised approach to work.
- Strong analytical Skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience and market knowledge within the FMCG industry considered to be an asset.

PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager role is to help keep brand standards within the manufacturing plant. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager, will be working in general on infrastructural projects within the plant to help reduce Electricity consumption, water consumption as well as any other building related projects that may arise from time to time.
Responsibilities will include:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, techniques and tracking projects costs to meet budget
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
Qualification requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 2-3 years of project management and related experience
- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Budget management experience
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

PROCESS ENGINEER
Job description:
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and manufacturing excellence /6 sigma projects
- Improve process yields and machine uptime
- Support in machine overhauls and routine upkeep of all equipment
- To communicate directly with Production Department to coordinate maintenance, be it breakdown and repair, scheduled or preventive, in process areas.
- Lead material qualification and support introduction of new processes and machine in manufacturing area
- Optimize tool design to improve productivity and yields
- To conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge

MARKET ACTIVATOR (MERCHANDISER)
The position responsibilities will include:
- Visiting existing outlets within the Food and Beverage industry on regular basis, strictly in accordance with the calling plan.
- Ensuring shelving, stands and coolers are adequately stocked at all times, whilst ensuring ongoing product rotation.
- Taking care of accurate product placement and displays in line with PICOS and the company guidelines.
- Implementing and maintaining promotional activities within outlets as outlined by the Sales and Marketing Department and reporting on execution in line with the company procedures.
- Building strong business relationships with customers.
Applicants should possess:
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.

SERVICING TECHNICIAN
In this position the chosen candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the Company’s equipment located at Clients premises around the island.
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Perform day-to-day repairs of vending machines, draught pumps, dispensing equipment, coolers, coffee machines and any other cold drinks equipment.
- Service, sanitize and perform preventive maintenance on cold drinks equipment at clients premisses.
- Maintain positive customer relationships.
- Applicants are expected to possess:
- A valid clean driving license (applicants are expected to work off-premises)
- Diagnostic/troubleshooting experience preferred
Candidates must be willing to attend to calls even during weekends and public holidays.
Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning or equivalent certificates, and/or Electrical Licence A will be considered an asset.

JUNIOR BRAND MANAGER
The Junior Brand Manager’s role is to ensure that brand is developed and grown in line with company strategies and goals, as well as aligned with principal’s guidelines and global/regional strategies. It is the duty of the Brand Manager to develop and implement initiatives which are delivering top and bottom line growth, while building brand value and equity in Malta.
Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement brand strategy and key initiatives in order to ensure profitable growth of volume and revenue.
- To deliver, together with HOM and sales, brand annual and monthly targeted volumes, NSR, gross margin and NC for assigned brands.
- Responsible for planning and execution of all communications and media actions on all channels, including online and social media
- To create and manage annual activity calendar in order to establish and maintain product branding and achieve targeted volume, revenue and margin growth.
- To propose budget (DME) and investments and to manage the budget for advertising, activities and promotional items in line with company and principal’s procedures and guidelines.
- To provide competitor and channel insights analysis on ongoing basis, as well as to analyse sales forecast, actual results and relevant financial in order to ensure that brand is reaching set volume, market share and financial targets.
- To develop and update PICOS standards for the brand (“must have product” list per channel, merchandising standards for channel), prepare training materials and guidelines for sales and activation team.
- To contribute in the implementation of PICOS for the brand by setting and aligning annual and quarterly targets with CEM and monitor execution.
- To propose new products in order to close gaps in the portfolio, meet consumer and shopper needs. Accountable to lead development and launch preparation from idea to execution stage, ensuring that all stakeholders are involved and that launch is conducted within targeted timeframe.
Competencies:
- 1- 2 years marketing experience
- Understands fully brand mission, identity and design principles, brand positioning, core brand elements, target group, brand attributes. Capable to present to others and train others.
- Able to understand market situation and trends, key channels and trade structure. Can, based on insights, predict trends and incorporate in analytics and strategy development. Understands basics of channel evolutions and can incorporate such predictions into brand strategies.
- Good usage of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point. Understanding and usage of social media.
- Knows how to handle the project, including planning the project from conception to implementation, mapping out a timeline, executing each phase, managing the budget and communicating among all stakeholders. Has ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Understands P&L, value chain, as well as basic retail math.
- Ability to collect, organize, visualize, and assimilate data. Able to see patterns, draw conclusions, and find solutions.
- Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results.

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
Reporting to the Engineering & Building Services Manager, the Production Technician will perform predictive, routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
Main duties include:
- Setting up of the automation machines.
- Perform preventive maintenance, predictive, routine and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensuring that quality, efficiency, production targets and uptime are reached in the most cost-effective manner.
The chosen candidate must have a hands-on approach to problems solving, be willing to take up new challenges and possess the ability to prioritize.
Job Requirements:
- Electrical Licence A and/or B.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
- Good written and verbal skills in English and Maltese.
- Preferably in possession of BTEC Higher National Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Be a good team player.
Previous experience in a similar position or plc knowledge will be considered an asset.
